Sean-Tamba Matthew is an associate with Steiker, Greenapple & Fusco, P.C., where he advises companies, business owners, boards of directors, and ESOP trustees on transactional and corporate governance and formation matters related to the design and implementation of ESOPs. Sean’s work includes drafting and negotiating agreements and other documents for stock purchases, leveraged buyouts, mergers, reorganizations and corporate governance and formation matters.
Prior to joining Steiker, Greenapple & Fusco, P.C., Sean was an associate at Pepper Hamilton LLP in Philadelphia, PA, where he was a member of Pepper Hamilton’s Corporate and Securities Practice Group. At Pepper, Sean concentrated his practice in transactional matters, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, fund services, venture financing and marketplace/P2P lending. Sean’s prior experience also includes advising nonprofit, charitable and other tax-exempt organizations and social enterprises at a boutique law firm based in suburban Philadelphia.
Sean received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, with a major in American Politics and a minor in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 2008, and his Juris Doctorate from the Temple University Beasley School of Law in 2013. He is admitted to the state bars of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Sean is a member of The ESOP Association and the National Center for Employee Ownership. He is also a member of the Barristers Association of Philadelphia.
Sean currently serves as a member of the board of directors of Nutritional Development Services of the Archdioceses of Philadelphia and is a member of the local school board of St. Raymond of Penafort, an Independence Mission School, in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia, PA.
