Bart R. McIlonie has provided ownership transition, mergers and acquisitions and ESOP advisory services for privately held clients for more than 10 years. He has represented ESOP plan sponsors and plan administrators, ESOP trustees in transactions establishing ESOPs as well as shareholders selling to an ESOP. He advises clients on a wide variety of tax, corporate finance, executive compensation and ESOP operational issues, as well as ESOP sustainability and general corporate compliance related issues.
Bart is an active member of the ESOP Association, National Center for Employee Ownership and North Dakota Society of CPAs. Most recently, he was vice president of consulting and a managing director at a boutique ownership transition firm.
Bart is a licensed CPA in North Dakota and received his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School and his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance from the University of Jamestown.
